"We are the Premier Family Karate Studio
in East County"

A family who learns karate together learns how to communicate, take care of their bodies, build confidence, and spend time together in a positive environment. Recognizing the need in San Diego’s East County area, several key individuals came together with their passion, skill, expertise, leadership and commitment to launch the ECFMA in 2007.

Tang Soo Do, Korean Traditional Martial Arts: Tang Soo Do is a Korean martial arts style with its origins rooted in ancient times. Most historians agree that Tang Soo Do began with the ancient art of Soo Bahk around two thousand years ago. It was heavily influenced by Chinese martial arts styles. Hence the name Tang Soo Do, meaning “The way of the Tang dynasty open hand”.
